This program presented by Dot McLane will offer information about working women, touching on occupational segregation; level of education; challenges in child care, elder care, housekeeping, cooking, personal life, etc. now that women are half the workforce in America; gender wage gap; and representation in government. Information will be fast and furious from resources such as the Women's Way Change of Pace, The PA Commission for Women The Status of Pennsylvania Women Report 2009, the Keystone Research Center The State of Women in the Pennsylvania Workforce 2008, AAUW Behind the Pay Gap, and the Maria Shriver/Center for American Progress The Shriver Report, A Woman's Nation Changes Everything including the Time/Rockefeller Poll. Social time begins at 7:00PM, the business meeting at 7:30pm, and the program, at 8PM. Hope to see you there!
