Description:

The Lansdale Farmers’ Market began in 2008 as an idea among a small group of local residents. Their goals were to make locally grown and produced foods more widely available to people in the Lansdale area, to draw the borough closer together in community, and to make Lansdale a more attractive regional destination on Saturdays. This year the market will be open every Saturday beginning June 12, 2010, from 9 AM to 1 PM. The Lansdale Farmers’ Market embodies the values of community cooperation, support of local farms, healthful eating, reducing “food miles,” and promotion of local businesses. Come to Lansdale on market days to stock up on locally produced vegetables and other tasty foods, wine, and well-made local handicrafts. But the Market will offer you more than that. In Railroad Plaza on Saturday mornings, you will be treated to an education, entertainment, and the enjoyment of gathering with one’s neighbors and friends, old and new, in a spirit of celebration.
