The Race into Reading program was developed with the
Lansdale Library in conjunction with the North Penn Community Network in an
effort to help the youth of MontgomeryCounty develop good
communication and reading skills. One
of the goals of this program will be to reward children for developing strong
positive attitudes towards reading and learning.
Getting Started!
Toddlers, preschoolers and school children up to age 12 can
earn fun prizes for the amount of time they spend reading independently, or the
time they spend listening to an adult read to them. This program will start September 1, 2009 and
run for an entire year ending on August 31,2010. How to get involved. Begin by going to NPCNLive.com and clicking
on the Race into Reading logo on the right hand side of the page. All children should start by clicking on the
Bronze Level program and print the Bronze Level Worksheet. Please have the children or the parents fill
out the appropriate information that is required on the form.
